Dr. Donna Girard is a board certified radiation oncologist who joined Southeast Radiation Oncology in July 1990 and has been practicing at Presbyterian Hospital since that time. While she treats all types of cancer with radiation, she has a special interest in breast cancer. She was appointed to the Breast Cancer Advisory Board by Presbyterian hospital and she is an active participant in the Presbyterian Multidisciplinary Breast Clinic and the Friday Breast Forum.
Dr. Girard received her medical education from the University of Florida and completed her residency in radiation oncology at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Dr. Girard resides in Charlotte with her husband and two sons. Having played college basketball at the University of Central Florida, she remains a sports enthusiast and enjoys rooting for the Charlotte Bobcats, Carolina Panthers, and the Charlotte Christian Knights.
